Mars 16 x 20

"Mars" is a visceral exploration of energy, conflict, and cosmic presence. With bold swaths of crimson and black erupting across a stark white canvas, the composition evokes the raw terrain and emotional intensity often associated with the red planet. On the left, a surge of deep red paint—glossy, layered, and unapologetically bold—suggests movement and heat, while the right side anchors the piece with a dense, textured mass of black, reminiscent of shadow, gravity, or resistance.

Splashes, drips, and sweeping strokes create a dynamic tension between the two dominant forces, as if the canvas itself is caught in a moment of combustion or transformation. Thin black lines crisscross the surface, stitching together the chaos with a sense of rhythm and intention.
